For window cleaners

A window cleaning estimate and invoice app

Walk the house, count the panes, and send the price before the next stop.

Published November 4, 2026 · by Settle

Quick answer

Settle suits window cleaning because most jobs are quoted at the house: walk around, count the panes, say what you're cleaning and Settle writes a priced estimate from your own rates. Text it from your own phone, the customer approves from a link, and after the job they pay by card or bank to your own Stripe account. Sending unlimited estimates and invoices is free. It's iPhone only and doesn't do scheduling or route planning.

What a window cleaning estimate looks like

Standing at the curb you say: "Two story house, 28 panes inside and out, clean 20 screens, and detail the tracks on 14 windows." Settle writes:

LineQtyPriceTotal
Exterior window cleaning, two story28 panes$6.00$168.00
Interior window cleaning28 panes$4.00$112.00
Screen cleaning20 ea$2.00$40.00
Track and sill detailing14 windows$3.00$42.00
Total before tax$362.00

Example prices only. Settle uses your own rates, and marks any price it had to guess with an orange dot.

What matters in window cleaning estimates

  • Price by the pane and show the count. "28 panes at $6" is something the customer can count for themselves. It also makes the next visit easy to quote.
  • Split inside and outside. Plenty of customers only want the outside done. Separate lines let them drop one without asking you to redo the estimate.
  • Call out second story and ladder work. If upper windows cost more, put them on their own line so the price difference is clear.
  • Write down what you won't promise. "Hard-water stains, paint overspray and scratched glass may not come clean." That line stops the callback.
  • Say what the customer handles. Blinds open, furniture moved back from interior windows, pets put away, gates unlocked.

What Settle does for window cleaners, and what it doesn't

It's built for quoting at the house. Describe the work, fix any price with an orange dot, and tap Send: Messages opens with the text written, the estimate link and the PDF attached, from your own number. You see when the customer opens it and when they tap Approve. After the job, one tap turns the estimate into an invoice with a pay link. The money lands in a Stripe account in your name; Settle takes no cut and never holds it.

Settle doesn't schedule jobs, plan routes, or track a crew. There's no Android or web version. If you run several crews on a route, a field-service tool like Jobber is built for that; compare them on the comparison page.

Window cleaning questions

What is the best estimate app for a solo window cleaner?

For a solo operator on an iPhone who quotes at the house, Settle is free to send unlimited estimates and invoices, writes the estimate from what you say using your own rates, and pays to your own Stripe account. If you need scheduling, routes and crew dispatch, Jobber or Housecall Pro are built for that.

Can I price per pane in Settle?

Yes. Say the number of panes and your rate, or let Settle use the rate you charged last time. Each line shows the quantity, unit and price, and you can edit any of them.

Can Settle draft an estimate from photos?

Yes. Take up to 3 photos and Settle uses them, along with what you say, to draft the estimate. The photos stay with the job in the app; they aren't added to the PDF or the estimate page your customer sees.

Should window cleaning be due on completion?

For residential work, most window cleaners invoice when the job is done and ask for payment that day or within a week. See invoice payment terms for how to word it.

Quote your next house by talking.

Free on iPhone. Unlimited estimates and invoices. 7 days of Pro to try the voice drafts, and you cancel in two taps.
