For snow removal operators
A snow removal estimate and invoice app
Lock in your customers before the first storm, then invoice each push before you're on to the next driveway.
Settle fits snow removal for a solo operator: walk the driveway in the fall, say what you'll plow, shovel and salt and your per-visit price, and Settle writes the estimate from your own rates. Text it from your own phone and the customer approves from a link. After each storm, send an invoice with a pay link from the truck; customers pay by card or bank to your own Stripe account. Sending unlimited estimates and invoices is free. It's iPhone only and doesn't do routing or dispatch.
What a snow removal estimate looks like
In the fall you say: "Two-car driveway, plow per visit at two inches or more, shovel the front walk and steps, and ice melt on the walk." Settle writes:
| Line (per visit) | Qty | Price | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Driveway plow, 2-car, 2 in. trigger | 1 visit | $55.00 | $55.00 |
| Shovel front walk and steps | 1 visit | $25.00 | $25.00 |
| Ice melt, walk and steps | 1 application | $20.00 | $20.00 |
| Per visit, before tax | $100.00 |
Example prices only. Settle uses your own rates, and marks any price it had to guess with an orange dot.

What matters in snow removal estimates
- Write the trigger depth. "Service at 2 inches or more" is the line that decides whether a visit is billable.
- Per visit, per season, or both. Say which. Per-visit pricing is easy to invoice storm by storm.
- Heavy snow. Say what happens above a certain depth, such as a second push or a higher rate over 8 inches.
- Damage and markers. Ask the customer to mark edges, curbs and landscaping, and say you're not responsible for unmarked items under the snow.
- When you'll come. Say you'll service after snowfall ends or by a set time, not "first thing."
What Settle does for snow removal, and what it doesn't
It's built for quoting the driveway and invoicing the push. Describe the property, fix any price with an orange dot, and tap Send: Messages opens with the text written, the estimate link and the PDF attached, from your own number. After a storm, Duplicate the last invoice for that customer, change the date and visits, and send it with a pay link. The money lands in a Stripe account in your name; Settle takes no cut and never holds it.
Settle doesn't plan routes, track storms, or dispatch drivers. There's no Android or web version. If you run several trucks on a route, a field-service tool like Jobber is built for that; compare them on the comparison page.
Snow removal questions
What is the best invoice app for a solo snow removal business?
For a one-truck operator on an iPhone, Settle is free to send unlimited estimates and invoices, writes the estimate from what you say using your own rates, and pays to your own Stripe account. If you run routes with several drivers, Jobber or a snow-specific routing tool is built for that.
Should I bill snow removal per visit or per season?
Per visit is simplest to price and fair in a light winter; a seasonal contract smooths your income. Either way, write the trigger depth and what counts as a visit on the estimate.
How do I invoice after each storm?
Duplicate the customer's last invoice, update the date and number of visits, and text it with a pay link before you leave the driveway.
