Why contractors look for a Housecall Pro alternative
The cheapest plan is $59 a month, and add-ons cost extra
Housecall Pro's Basic plan is $59 a month billed annually ($79 month-to-month) for one user. Its pricing page lists add-ons such as Pipeline, Payroll, Campaigns and Websites. Settle's free plan sends unlimited estimates and invoices.

Cancelling goes through support
Housecall Pro's billing help says to start a chat with support and tell them you want to cancel, and that cancelling can't be fully processed until a team member has spoken with the account owner by phone. With Settle you cancel in your iPhone settings in two taps.
Built for a crew, not for one person with a truck
Owner-operators say they end up paying for tools they never open. One reviewer called the app a very expensive calendar for the price. If you work alone, you may only need the estimate, the invoice and the payment.
"For $150 month plus 7% it's a really expensive calendar."Housecall Pro reviewer, JustUseAppWhen Housecall Pro is the better choice
- You have employees and want scheduling, dispatch, GPS and payroll in one place.
- You want online booking, marketing campaigns and a pipeline.
- You need Android or web. Settle is iPhone only.
When Settle is not the right app
We would rather you know before you download:
- iPhone only. There is no Android app and no web app.
- No scheduling, dispatching, GPS or time tracking.
- No QuickBooks sync. You can export everything to CSV.
- One user per account. No crew or team logins.
- Documents live on your phone. There is no sync between devices yet.
- English only for now.
- A new app from a small team. Most of the apps it competes with have been around for years.
How to switch from Housecall Pro
Housecall Pro's help center says account admins can export the customer list and jobs to a spreadsheet. Check that your export includes everything you need before you cancel, and ask support how long you keep access afterward.
There is nothing to import into Settle. Open the app, tap the orange button, and describe your next job. Your own prices are remembered from what you send, so your old price list doesn't need to come along.
