Why contractors look for a QuoteIQ alternative

There is no free plan, and the trial needs a card

QuoteIQ's 2026 pricing article lists Essentials at $29.99 a month ($299.99 a year) for one user, with a 14-day trial that requires a credit or debit card and no free tier. Settle's free plan sends unlimited estimates and invoices and takes payments with no card on file.

AI estimates are metered by credits

Every QuoteIQ plan includes the AI Estimator, but each AI estimate spends IQ Credits: 500 a month on Essentials, 250 during the trial. Settle Pro's AI drafts are unlimited; the free plan includes three to try the voice feature, and manual estimates and invoices are never metered.

It is a full platform, priced like one

Essentials bundles scheduling, a calendar, an AI virtual call team and customer financing, and the plans above it add map measuring, a camera tool, expense tracking and more users at $25 each. If all you need is to quote a job and get paid, you are paying for the rest. Settle only does estimates, invoices and payments.

When QuoteIQ is the better choice

  • You want AI estimates tied to a catalog and map measuring. QuoteIQ's AI Estimator works against your catalog; Settle drafts from speech or up to 3 photos and your own past prices, with no measuring tool.
  • You want scheduling, a calendar, map measuring or a virtual call team. Settle has none.
  • You have a crew. QuoteIQ's plans go up to 20 users plus $25 per extra user. Settle is one user.
  • You want Android or a web app. Settle is iPhone only.

When Settle is not the right app

We would rather you know before you download:

  • iPhone only. There is no Android app and no web app.
  • No scheduling, dispatching, GPS or time tracking.
  • No QuickBooks sync. You can export everything to CSV.
  • One user per account. No crew or team logins.
  • Documents live on your phone. There is no sync between devices yet.
  • English only for now.
  • A new app from a small team. Most of the apps it competes with have been around for years.

How to switch from QuoteIQ

QuoteIQ's pricing article says plans are month to month with no contracts or cancellation fees, you keep access through the end of the billing period, and the cancel flow offers a 30, 60 or 90 day seasonal pause. We did not find a data-export statement on the pages we checked; download what you need before you cancel.

There is nothing to import into Settle. Open the app, tap the orange button, and describe your next job. Your own prices are remembered from what you send, so your old price list doesn't need to come along.
