Why contractors look for a Invoice Simple alternative
You pay by how many invoices you send
Invoice Simple's plans are priced by invoice count: 3 a month on Essentials, unlimited only on Premium at $21.99 a month. Signatures and deposits are Premium features. Settle has no cap on estimates or invoices, on any plan.

Plan changes and billing complaints
The Better Business Bureau's complaint page for Invoice Simple includes complaints about plan changes and billing. Invoice Simple's terms say fees are non-cancelable and non-refundable for the term. Settle's subscription is billed by Apple: you cancel in your iPhone settings, and refunds follow Apple's policy.
A bid lost when the phone rings
A recurring complaint from contractors: an unsaved estimate vanishes when a call comes in. Settle saves every change the moment you make it, and there is no Save button.

- You send only a handful of invoices a month and the $6.99 plan fits.
- You want a web app and an Android app as well as iPhone.
- You want your records kept in the cloud. Invoice Simple's help center says your records stay in the cloud after you cancel; Settle keeps documents on your phone.
When Settle is not the right app
We would rather you know before you download:
- iPhone only. There is no Android app and no web app.
- No scheduling, dispatching, GPS or time tracking.
- No QuickBooks sync. You can export everything to CSV.
- One user per account. No crew or team logins.
- Documents live on your phone. There is no sync between devices yet.
- English only for now.
- A new app from a small team. Most of the apps it competes with have been around for years.
How to switch from Invoice Simple
Invoice Simple's help center says to cancel from Settings after logging in on the web, or through Apple or Google if you subscribed there. Its invoice export lets you pick a date range and a file format.
There is nothing to import into Settle. Open the app, tap the orange button, and describe your next job. Your own prices are remembered from what you send, so your old price list doesn't need to come along.
