For gutter cleaners
A gutter cleaning estimate and invoice app
Pace off the gutters, say the footage, and send the price before you pull the ladder off the truck.
Settle fits gutter cleaning because most jobs are priced from the driveway. Walk the roofline, say the footage, stories and extras out loud, and Settle writes a priced estimate from your own rates. Text it from your own phone, the customer approves from a link, and when you're done they pay by card or bank to your own Stripe account. Sending unlimited estimates and invoices is free. It's iPhone only and doesn't do scheduling or route planning.
What a gutter cleaning estimate looks like
At the curb you say: "Clean and flush 160 feet of gutter on the one-story part, 40 feet on the two-story side, and flush twelve downspouts." Settle writes:
| Line | Qty | Price | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gutter cleaning and flush, one story | 160 ft | $1.10 | $176.00 |
| Gutter cleaning and flush, two story | 40 ft | $1.75 | $70.00 |
| Downspout flush and clear | 12 ea | $5.00 | $60.00 |
| Total before tax | $306.00 |
Example prices only. Settle uses your own rates, and marks any price it had to guess with an orange dot.

What matters in gutter cleaning estimates
- Price by the foot and split by story. Second-story footage takes more ladder work. Separate lines show why it costs more.
- Downspouts on their own line. A clogged downspout is often why the customer called. Count them and price them.
- Say what happens to the debris. Bagged and hauled, or left in the yard waste bin. Customers ask.
- Write down what you won't fix. "Loose hangers, leaking seams and damaged gutters are noted, not repaired." Offer repairs as a separate price.
- Guards change the job. If gutters have guards that must come off, add a line for removal and reinstall.
What Settle does for gutter cleaners, and what it doesn't
It's built for quoting at the house. Describe the work, fix any price with an orange dot, and tap Send: Messages opens with the text written, the estimate link and the PDF attached, from your own number. You see when the customer opens it and when they tap Approve. After the job, one tap turns the estimate into an invoice with a pay link. The money lands in a Stripe account in your name; Settle takes no cut and never holds it.
Settle doesn't book jobs, plan routes, or track a crew. There's no Android or web version. If you run several crews on a route, a field-service tool like Jobber is built for that; compare them on the comparison page.
Gutter cleaning questions
What is the best estimate app for a solo gutter cleaner?
For a solo operator on an iPhone who quotes at the house, Settle is free to send unlimited estimates and invoices, writes the estimate from what you say using your own rates, and pays to your own Stripe account. If you need online booking, routing and crew dispatch, Jobber or Housecall Pro are built for that.
Can I price by the linear foot in Settle?
Yes. Say the footage and your rate, or let Settle use the rate you charged last time. Each line shows the quantity, unit and price, and you can edit any of them.
Can Settle draft an estimate from photos?
Yes. Take up to 3 photos and Settle uses them, along with what you say, to draft the estimate. The photos stay with the job in the app; they aren't added to the PDF or the estimate page your customer sees.
Can I quote gutter cleaning and window cleaning on the same estimate?
Yes. Each line has its own quantity and unit, so feet of gutter and panes of glass can sit on one estimate.
Quote your next gutter job by talking.
Free on iPhone. Unlimited estimates and invoices. 7 days of Pro to try the voice drafts, and you cancel in two taps.
