For pest control

A pest control estimate and invoice app

Finish the walk-around, say what you'll treat, and the customer has a price before you're back in the truck.

Published November 4, 2026 · by Settle

Quick answer

Settle fits one-time pest control jobs because the price comes from the inspection. Say the pest, the areas and the follow-up out loud and Settle writes a priced estimate from your own rates. Text the estimate from your own phone, the customer approves from a link, and when the job's done they pay by card or bank to your own Stripe account. Sending unlimited estimates and invoices is free. It's iPhone only and doesn't do route scheduling or chemical-use records.

What a pest control estimate looks like

After the inspection you say: "Ants, inside and out. Perimeter treatment interior and exterior, seal the entry points at the foundation and utility lines, free follow-up in 30 days if they come back." Settle writes:

LineQtyPriceTotal
Inspection1 ea$0.00$0.00
Interior and exterior perimeter treatment1 ea$189.00$189.00
Seal entry points at foundation and utility lines1 ea$95.00$95.00
Follow-up treatment within 30 days if activity continues1 ea$0.00$0.00
Total before tax$284.00

Example prices only. Settle uses your own rates, and marks any price it had to guess with an orange dot.

What matters in pest control estimates

  • Name the pest. "Ants, interior and exterior" is what the customer is buying.
  • Show what's free. A $0 inspection or follow-up line is a selling point.
  • Say what the follow-up covers. Same pest, same areas, within a set number of days.
  • Exclude the big ones. Termites, bed bugs and wildlife are their own quote.
  • Give the prep list in writing. Treatment works better when the customer has done the prep.

What Settle does for pest control techs, and what it doesn't

Finish the inspection, say the pest, the areas and the follow-up, and check any price marked with an orange dot. The estimate goes out from your own number, and after the treatment one tap turns it into an invoice with a pay link. You see when the customer opens and approves it. Payments land in a Stripe account in your name; Settle takes no cut and never holds the money.

Settle doesn't plan routes, keep chemical application records, or run recurring service plans today. There's no Android or web version. If you run routes with several techs, a field-service tool is built for that; compare options on the comparison page.

Worth knowing

Federal law requires anyone who applies or supervises the use of restricted use pesticides to be certified, and state pesticide agencies issue those certifications. The EPA notes that many states require certification for all commercial pesticide application, restricted or not. Putting your license or certification number on the estimate answers the customer's first question.

Pest control questions

What is the best estimate app for an independent pest control tech?

For a one-person pest control business on an iPhone that quotes after an inspection, Settle is free to send unlimited estimates and invoices, writes the estimate from what you say using your own rates, and pays to your own Stripe account. For route scheduling and chemical records, a pest-control field-service tool is built for that.

Can Settle bill quarterly pest control plans?

Not automatically today. You can duplicate an invoice for each visit and send it with a pay link.

How do I get paid on the spot?

Turn the approved estimate into an invoice and text the pay link before you leave. See how to get paid faster.

Can Settle draft an estimate from photos?

Yes. Take up to 3 photos and Settle uses them, along with what you say, to draft the estimate. The photos stay with the job in the app; they aren't added to the PDF or the estimate page your customer sees.
