Why contractors look for a Invoice Fly alternative
You pay before you send anything
Invoice Fly's pricing page lists a weekly plan at $8.99 and a yearly plan at $98.99, with a free trial that needs a card, and no free plan. Settle's free plan sends unlimited estimates and invoices with no card on file.

The weekly plan adds up
At $8.99 a week, a year of the weekly plan is about $467. The yearly plan is far cheaper, but you have to commit up front.

You type every line
Invoice Fly builds documents from templates you fill in. Settle drafts the estimate from what you say on site, using your own past prices, and marks anything it had to guess.

When Invoice Fly is the better choice
- You want Android or a web app. Invoice Fly runs on both; Settle is iPhone only.
- You want expense tracking and reports in the same app. Settle doesn't track expenses.
- Your customers pay by PayPal. Invoice Fly supports PayPal; Settle takes card, Apple Pay and bank through Stripe.
When Settle is not the right app
We would rather you know before you download:
- iPhone only. There is no Android app and no web app.
- No scheduling, dispatching, GPS or time tracking.
- No QuickBooks sync. You can export everything to CSV.
- One user per account. No crew or team logins.
- Documents live on your phone. There is no sync between devices yet.
- English only for now.
- A new app from a small team. Most of the apps it competes with have been around for years.
How to switch from Invoice Fly
Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are cancelled through Apple; Android ones through Google Play. We didn't find a data-export statement on the pricing page, so save PDFs of the invoices you need before you cancel.
There is nothing to import into Settle. Open the app, tap the orange button, and describe your next job. Your own prices are remembered from what you send, so your old price list doesn't need to come along.
