Settle is an app for contractors to write estimates and invoices and get paid. This page says what we collect, why, and what we don't do.

What stays on your phone

Your business profile, customers, estimates, invoices, line items and price history are stored on your device. We don't keep a copy on our servers.

What we send to our servers

• Job descriptions and photos you give us to draft an estimate. We pass them to Anthropic's Claude API to write the draft and keep a log of when the request happened, its length and how many items came back. We don't store the description or photos after the draft is returned.
• A snapshot of each estimate or invoice you send, so your customer can open it at a settlejob.com link. When they open it we record the time, their IP address and browser so you can see that it was viewed or approved.
• Payment link details (amount, description, your invoice ID) so we can tell you when an invoice is paid.

Payments

Card and bank payments are handled by Stripe on an account in your name. Money goes from your customer to your Stripe account. Settle never holds your funds and never sees full card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to that part.

Email

We send payment receipts to your customers and event emails (viewed, approved, paid) to you through Mailgun. We never send text messages on your behalf; those go from your own phone.

Subscriptions

Settle Pro is billed by Apple through the App Store. We don't see your payment details.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data or your customers' data.
• We don't use your estimates to train AI models.
• We don't show ads.

Deleting your data

Delete the app to remove everything on your phone. To remove hosted estimate pages and server records, email [email protected] from the address you use with Settle.
